在家呆久了的澳洲人对边界关闭和严格的封锁政策已经开始失去耐心，在最新的调查中几乎半数人现在认为政府行动太慢，对经济和精神健康造成了不必要的损害。
在调查中，强烈支持 “阻止病毒传播是胜过经济复苏的首要任务” 这种观点的人数在近几个月大大减少。
01 更多澳人认为解封复苏
步伐太慢
维多利亚州第二波疫情引发了关注高峰，但是，现在支持快速复苏解除限制的人数增加了一倍以上。
7月份，全国各地76％的选民声称最担心政府太快解除活动限制，这个数字现在已经下降到54％。
除此之外，支持更快摆脱经济瘫痪的人数涨幅巨大。7月份，有20％的选民最主要的担忧是封锁和限制措施对经济、工作和心理健康造成损害。在最新的民调中，这一数字已增长到43％。
在调查中，年龄在18—34岁之间以及65岁以上的人十分担心放松限制的行动太慢，而年龄在50—64岁之间的人更担心解封过快。
随着维州州长 Andrews 证实取消限制的时间表会进一步推迟，人们对于严格的限制措施对经济的打击，以及昆州和西澳对拒绝重开边界的固执越来越感到沮丧。
02 莫里森向昆州施压开放边境
昆州目前仍处于关闭状态，州长Annastaciacia Palaszczuk 还被指责试图利用昆州选民的支持来关闭边境。
周一，在联邦预算案获得广泛支持的背景下，总理莫里森为国家党争取昆州边际席位进行竞选活动，继续给重新开放州边界施压。
Morrison 说严格的限制措施确实对经济具有影响，昆州44％的工作已经从疫情的阴影中恢复了，“但是在新州，这一比例为70％。在南澳，这一比例也是70％。因此，我们必须让昆士兰人在这里再次投入工作。”
03 墨尔本无法按原计划解封，
但有限制放松
墨尔本居民正在急切地等待下周起限制如何放松，但目前墨尔本的14天平均日增病例数已达10例，感染源不明病例也已上升2例至13例。
维州州长 Andrews周一承认，原定于周日的解封路线图可能会被重新划定，尽管无法实现14天日增病例数5例的目标，但届时仍会放松一些与社会活动相关的限制。
此外Andrews也证实，在恢复一些自由的同时，维州零售业将继续留在封锁状态，只允许必要物资商店开放。
同时，维州偏远地区的商家也被要求必须采取一切合理步骤，以确保不会有来自墨尔本的顾客就座用餐。之前，一名感染的墨尔本男子在Kilmore一家咖啡馆用餐，引发了该地区的新一轮爆发。
